This is kiwi speak, our slang, our way of talking. Some of it's uniquely New Zealand, and some is more a mix of international adaption with an original home grown twist. Dag: Someone who's funny, or a bit of a character.
Dairy: A corner store. - Contributed by Lacey
Dance a Haka: To throw a fit or temper tantrum. - Contributed by Juliette
Daylight robbery: A term used to describe the selling of something that's seriously overpriced.
Diddle: Penis. - Contributed by Juliette
Ding: A small dent in your car. If it was in your door, you'd say your car had a small ding in the door.

Dole: The unemployment benefit or social welfare payment.
Drongo: Someone who's stupid, or a fool.
Duck shoving: Imagine a row of ducks with their beaks up the arse of the duck in front of them, means shifting the blame from one to another. - Contributed by Mandy
Dunny: A toilet.
Duvet: A quilt. Also known as a doona if you're from Australia.
