Payphones
Public telephones are located throughout the country. They accept coins, credit cards or phonecards, which may be purchased in denominations of $5 to $50 from outlets usually located nearby. Services include multi-payment options, multi-language (instructions in English, Maori, Samoan, Tongan and Japanese), quick-dial keys, last number redial and a follow-on call key to make using them much easier.

Private and Business Telephones
All local calls from private residential telephones are free. Local calls from business telephones cost 4 cents a minute between 7am and 10pm.
